MLS established a presence north of the border when they granted Toronto FC a franchise to begin play in 2007.

Former MLS performer and coach Mo Johnston was picked to lead Canada's first MLS franchise. A fanatical fan base and some promising young players have many Canadians adopting this team as their own.


The Really North Star


The young franchise has already added Jeff Cunningham, Marvell Wynne II, Tyrone Marshall and Abbe Ibrahim to their roster.
Mo Johnston is quietly putting together a solid team and is proving himself ot be a shrewd businessman with his dealings. It wil be interesting to see how Toronto embraces its new team Team info:
