Shalrie Joseph is quite simply the best defensive midfielder in MLS. The Grenadian international starred at St. John's, leading the Red Storm to the Final Four before being drafted by New England.

Found himself in the starting lineup as a defender early in his rookie season, but made an easy transition to defensive midfielder and has had that spot on lock ever since.

Shalrie Joseph is a young player on the rise who quite frankly should be in Europe right now.

One of the best ever to play his position in MLS.
