CJ BROWN

Tough, tough defender. CJ Brown came out of nowhere to become one of MLS' best man markers and earn call ups to the US National Team. Now the longest serving brother on Chicago's side, he is the Fire's Brother Emeritus.

A product of San Jose State where he was twice an all conference performer and of the A-League's S.F. Bay Beals, this California native has locked down a spot on the Fire's backline with his intense defending and solid play in the air. He credits former Fire defender Francis Okaroh as the one from whom he learned the most in his early days with Chicago. Apparently, Francis taught him a whole heck of a lot because CJ ended up representing the US against teams like Germany and Argentina.

While his international career seems to have stalled, he remained a constant in the Fire lineup until the emergence of Jim Curtin and the since departed Carlos Bocanegra. He's now regained his spot in the lineup and continues to be one of MLS better central defenders.
