Chivas USA will be looking to build on their first post-season with a new coach and one of their marquee players.

After Mexican Power Chivas of Guadalajara jumped into the MLS fray by entering a team to compete in LA and share space with the Galaxy, the found that MLS wasn't such a pushover league after all plummeting to the league's worst record and not really being competitive in some matches.

Chivas is one of Mexico's most supported clubs as it refuses to sign players who are not Mexican. Upon entering MLS it had been suggested that they would do the same and though they signed primarily Latino players, they had a few non-latinos as well. What really needed to do wa sign better players and former US International Ante Razov provided plenty of goals upon his return to LA. Jonathan Borstein was MLS Rookie of the Year in 2006 and the backline will be anchored by long time Mexican standout, Claudio Suarez. Former MVP Amado Guevara was the biggest off season signing and he'll look regain his footing as the premiere MLS playmaker.

Former Metrostars and Fire coach Bob Bradley brought the team to respectability that new falls to former US international Preki. He'll still have Razov but Francisco Palencia has gone back to Mexico.

Morenos? Si, tenemos morenos.

Chivas quickly dispelled suggestions that they would only sign Latino players by choosing Ezra Hendrickson in the expansion draft. Second year player Lawson Vaughn out of Marietta, Georgia will look to continue making an impression.
Bottom Line: Chivas will be looking to create the same tradition of fine Mexican soccer in America.
