An emerging star for both PSV and the Ivory Coast, Arouna Kone had a very solid first season with PSV after moving from Roda JC.

Arouna began his career for a local Ányama club named Rio Sport d'Ányama. He helped them gain promotion to the First Division before earning a move to RC Lens in France. Unable to settle there he quickly transferred to Belgian side Lierse S.K. where he began to flourish. IT was at Roda and the 2003 FIFA Youth World Cup where he truly made his mark, earning the move to one of Holland's top sides.

A very talented player on the rise.
