ABUBAKARI YAKUBU
VITESSEE

A lot has been expected of this young midfielder who was once named one of the hottest young talents by World Soccer magazine. However after being unable to consistently crack the starting 11 at Ajax, he has been loaned to Vitesse.

The Ghanaian midfielder and defender represented his country at the U17 World Cup in 97 and was signed by Ajax scouts. He's made Champions League apperances for the side and has often put his international career on hold to concentrate of solidifying his place with Ajax.

A move to Vitesse will help him gain more playing time and translate some of that experience to the Black Stars as well.
