Quick and hardnosed, Luis Perea has become a solid defender for Madrid's other team since joining them in 2004.

Now a member of the Colombian National Team, Perea started his career with Independiente de Medellín with whom he played 4 seasons. He became one of the few Black players to play in Argentina when he moved to storied club Boca Juniors where he was instrumental in helping the side win the Copa Libertadores. His displays there led the left back to Madrid with Athletico.

Perea is coming into his own as a top defender and looks to have a solid European and international career ahead of him.
