SAMUEL ETO'O
F.C. BARCELONA

Oft travelled but highly talented Cameroonian international, Samuel E'too got a long sought move to Barca just before the start of the 2004-05 season and paid immediate dividends. He was Barcelona's leading scorer as the Catalan club returned to the top of La Liga.

E'too began his European adventure in 97 with 2 seasons at Leganés. From there he moved to Real Madrid but was unable to find consistent playing time and was loaned out to Espanyol and then Mallorca with whom he scored 23 goals in 3 seasons.

His displays for the Indomitable Lions at the 2000 Olympics and the 2002 World Cup prove he's a talented player and this was further confirmed when he was named 2003's African Footballer of the Year. Real Madrid tried to block his move back to Barcelona but in the end the deal was completed.

A fiery but very talented player, he'll look to take his career to new heights for the Catalan giants.
