DAVID ODONKOR

A suprise member of the 2006 German World Cup side, David Odonkor made the most of his opportunities in helping the hosts gain the semifinals, coming on as a substitute and playing very well on the right wing.

Odonkor, the product of a German mother and Ghanian father, began his career with local sides until he signed for Borussia Dortmund in 1998. Rising through the youth ranks his made his Budesliga debut in 2001 and his established himself as a reliable player.

Blessed with blazing speed and ability to beat players off the dribble, big things will be expected of him in Spain as he was brought in to replace Spanish international Joaquin.
