JOSEPH YOBO

The Blues beat out the likes of Juventus to sign this former Marseille defender, one of the few bright spots for Nigeria during the 2002 World Cup.

Joseph started his European career with Standard Liege in Belgium before moving to Marseille where he was also loaned out to Spanish side Tenerife.

His form at the 2002 World Cup led Everton to bring him to the Merseyside. As Everton look to move past Premiereship mediocrity, a talented defender like Yobo could help.
