PAPA BOUBA DIOP
FULHAM FC

After a solid career including two stints with Lens, Pape Bouba Diop made the move to English football with a move to Fulham during the summer of 2004.

Born and raised in Dakar, Diop started his career with Lens at age 21 where he remained for two seasons before moving to Switerland with Grasshoppers of Zurich.

However as Diop's play with Senegal's national team in their midfield began to take off, Lens took him back midway between the 01-02 season.

Senegal's startling run to the quarterfinals of the 2002 World Cup started with Diop's goal to beat France in the opener but the big attacking midfielder's overall play could not be overlooked and wasn't at Lens either.

Now the tall, defensive midfielder brings his game to England where Fulham will hope to cash in on his talent.
