EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR
ARSNEAL

Tall and skilled, 6' 3" Emmanuel Adebayor was one of AS Monaco's primary offensive targets before falling out with management and signing with Arsenal.

The Togolese forward began his European career for Metz after being discovered playing for Togo in a youth tournament. He immediately impressed the soon to be relegated side & was instrumental in their re-promotion to the Ligue 1, scoring 13 times.

At the end of 2002-03 and another successful season with Metz other clubs around Europe came calling but he chose to remain with Monaco and helped the side gain the Champions League Final the following season.

He seemed to be on the rise, helping Togo gain the 2006 World Cup but failing to turn up for practice led him to getting the axe from Monaco but he now hopes to follow other great players to come for the French league and star in England.

Another African player on the rise in England.
