ST. VINCENT AND GRENADINES NEWS & SCORES

The Canada-St. Vincent and the Grenadines second round CONCACAF qualifying series for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ was fairly well settled even before kick-off on Friday night in Montreal.

Having amassed a 3-0 lead in the first leg in Kingstown last weekend, the Canadians - who have only qualified for one FIFA World Cup finals in their history - made easy work of the return fixture, winning 4-1 (7-1 on aggregate).

The outstanding Dwayne De Rosario of MLS side Houston Dynamo scored twice and Ali Gerba - who had two goals in the first leg - picked up another pair in the rout.

Marlon James managed to grab a consolation goal for the Caribbean islanders in the 76th minute, but it was all too-little-too-late for St. Vincent.(FIFA.com)
