Star studded LPRC-Oilers under the helmsmanship of former national team tactician Kadala Kromah are back on top, courtesy of a 2-0 trashing of Frank Jericho Nagbe's NPA-Anchors.

The Oil boys, in their usual 3-4-3 formation, got the ideal start they needed when the adventurous wing back Solomon Wisseh headed home a sublime Isaac Pupo's swerving corner.

A couple of minutes later, the diminutive Chico Browne who was playing a rather unusual role, increased the tally from a supposedly cross-cum-shot which erratic goalie Saydee Koumateh could not deal with.

The South African bound James Koko Lomell charged the gold and black forward to end the half 2-0.

The crest fallen Anchors were predictable in their game, as their long balls which were played to their front line proved a tall order in beating the Oilers back three of captain Shelton Barlee, Patrick Gwarnu and David Tweh.

The Anchors pin-sized striker Prince Garwo and Partner Vatalise Sieh did not cause menace to the Oil boys. The win now put the Oilers back on top of the Premiership with 20 points, while the Anchors are still comfortably seated with 17 points.

Prior to this highly rated duel, Blue Angels walloped relegation threatened Survivors 5-1 in a first division pairing. On Sunday, a ten-man Invincible Eleven (I.E) was humbled by determined Monrovia Breweries.

A dreadful mistake from rear guard Bill Paytoe was enough to see the Breweries nimble footed striker Roland Tweh punishing the yellow boys, who were reduced to ten men after left wing back Arthur Glasgow was red carded by center referee Patrick Paye for crunch challenge on an opponent.

Earlier, female champions Tito Sisters narrowly lost to under achieved Pro Anchors Sisters in an academic encounter.
