INDOMITABLE LIONS NATIONAL TEAM NEWS

Eto'o keep Cameroon on course to advance with both goals in 2-1 win

Striker Samuel Eto'o hit a dramatic last-gasp goal to keep Cameroon on course for a place in the last phase of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ qualifiers after a 2-1 victory over Tanzania on Saturday.

The win moves Cameroon to 10 points in the group and on the verge of making sure of progress to the last phase of the qualifiers for the finals in South Africa.

Eto'o opened the scoring in the 69th minute after Cameroon had missed several first half chances but Tanzania, who held the Indomitable Lions to a 0-0 draw in Dar-es-Salaam last week, came back to equalise with 10 minutes left through Danny Mrwanda.

But Eto'o, who has been linked with several English clubs since Barcelona said he was no longer needed, hammered in a powerful shot in the 89th minute to make sure of Cameroon's third win in four group games.
